Sports
Students need motivation to learn. Involving students in project is a great way of getting them involved in real life experiential learning. Teachers guide them and give them an opportunity to know more precisely and explore more about the given project. The motive behind these projects is to nurture and nourish the young talent through these types of creative projects. Various projects were undertaken in the session 2009-10 by the students in the subjects like 1) Science (2) Social Science (4) English (5) Mathematics (6) Odia (7) Hindi (8) Sanskrit (9) Art on 16th Oct' 2009.
Through all these projects the School aims to inculcate the spirit of experimentation and collaboration there by instilling a positive approach towards life and human race. Evaluation

• The creativity executed to complete the work.
• The fulfillment of the project criteria.
Provision of sports and games are there in the school for which well-equipped playground and sports materials are available. Every year within the school premises internal competitions are held for the students in the games and sports to facilitate to join in the District and State level competitions through the Bhubaneswar School Athletic Association. Our school is giving special coaching from 4:00 pm – 5:15 pm every day to the interested students. Provision for training facilities for football, volleyball, Badminton, Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Table Tennis etc. are available. Every year the school represents in the State level and National level competitions. The school has good reputation in the field of games and sports.
Fully developed play grounds and courts are available. All students are counseled and inspired to choose one or more areas of sports.
Physical education promotes fitness, cooperation, sportsmanship and school spirit. SSVM School has many playfields where different popular sports like cricket, volleyball, hockey, foot-ball and tennis are played under the guidance and supervision of qualified game teachers/instructors.
Apart from these Indoor games like carom, table tennis and chess are also pursued with equal fervor.
